Borrego Springs fest awards ‘Paper Dream’

Iranian feature ‘Paper Dream’ grabs an award at the Borrego Springs Film Festival (BSFF) in the United States.

Iranian feature ‘Paper Dream’ has grabbed an award at the Borrego Springs Film Festival (BSFF) in the United States.

Reports said ‘Paper Dream’ by Ali Atshani won the best narrative feature film award at the 10th edition of the US event.

The story of the film is based on an idea by Atshani, but the film’s screenplay is written by Jaber Qassem Ali.

The film is about an Albino teenage who has been out of public eye because of his appearance. The boy falls in love with a young girl who has taken advantage of his pure heart and made him a social media influencer.

‘Paper Dream’ is starring Kamran Tafti and Mina Vahid.

The Borrego Springs Film Festival is aimed to “enrich our community by providing a forum to present and discuss independent films and educate film enthusiasts, especially young people, about the artistic, business, and creative processes of independent filmmaking”.

The 10th edition of BSFF took place on January 12-16.
